Santiago Tenorio-Garcés is an accomplished executive and private markets investor with 18 years of diverse experience in technology, finance, and infrastructure. Known for his strategic leadership and innovative approach, Santiago has played pivotal roles in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings.
Santiago served as the Executive Director, IMEA and Global Head of Corporate Development at Arowana until June 2024. In this role, he led the firm’s Middle East expansion, established a new regional office in Dubai, and spearheaded strategic investments digital infrastructure, electric vehicles, and sustainable energy. Santiago also drove commercial development and high-value partnerships for VivoPower in the IMEA region.
Before joining Arowana, Santiago held various leadership and investing roles at prestigious firms including American Express, BlackRock, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has a proven track record of leading and building high-performance teams and strategic alliances globally. As an entrepreneur, Santiago founded Vivarium, an impact-focused venture building and VC investing platform, and co-founded Andes Energy Terminal (AET), a $1 billion sustainable energy infrastructure hub in Colombia.
Santiago graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a double bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science (Computation and Cognition) and Visual Studies (Science & Philosophy of Vision), and a minor in Japanese. He has lived and worked in cities worldwide, including Tokyo, Mumbai, New York, and London, and is fluent in English and Spanish, with conversational proficiency in Japanese.
