Michael grew up in an army family, living in various parts of the world. This influenced him to join the Army himself, joining Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as a Technician. His primary role being Armoured Fighting Vehicles fire control systems. After a full and exciting career in the Army Michael then left to join GKN Defence, which through a series of mergers and acquisitions, became BAE Systems Land Systems. During this time Michael took a part time Degree with Staffordshire university in Mechatronics. Having worked initially as a Trials Engineer and then Electrical Design Engineer then left to enter the world of contracting, initially with NP Aerospace as a Design Engineer and then Thales as a Systems Engineer. Michael then moved on to Lear Corporation as an EDS Engineer working on several JLR projects during a period of significant growth for JLR. Most recent role has been with Tevva involved in BEV and Fuel Cell vehicles as Lead HV EDS Engineer.
Michael lives in Telfod, with his wife Helen and 2 Daughters. He is involved in his daughters School raising money for the Music department and supporting the activities of the music department including running a café in the School at weekends. For his limited spare time Michael likes to run (pretty slowly to be honest).
