This is an exciting time of growth for the VivoPower team, and today we are delighted to welcome Gary Challinor. He steps into a newly created role as our Director of Sustainable Energy Solutions (SES) for Australia and New Zealand.
This new role will support our expanded service offerings, following our acquisition of Tembo e-LV B.V. It also complements our recently announced growth in North America.
Gary is a natural fit for this position. Before VivoPower’s founding, he was the Commercial Development Director for our parent company Arowana from 2010–11, implementing sales strategy and lead generation for Arowana’s portfolio companies.
Along with his familiar background, Challinor has been a senior executive across the technology industry for over 30 years. His experience ranges from start-ups and government agencies to Fortune 1000 companies across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
‘As someone who has managed teams across multiple countries, cultures and time zones, Gary was a natural choice to be our director of SES,’ said our executive Chairman and CEO Kevin Chin. ‘His skillset will be especially beneficial as we work with Tembo to build its capabilities and expand our offerings in the Australasian markets.’
Gary has done work for data centres as well as companies focused on the electrical, mechanical and maintenance areas of mining, infrastructure and industrial organisations. Most recently, he spent 4 years working as a start-up and turnaround specialist, advising on strategy, finance, systems and operations.
‘I am excited to be back in the Arowana family and eager to help VivoPower achieve its goals,’ said Challinor. ‘My aim is to grow the business with a view to maximising shareholder value in the long term.’
