VivoPower developed, financed, and built the 600 kW Amaroo Solar Project, located on the roof of Amaroo School, a community primary and secondary school serving nearly 2,000 students in the Australian Capital Territory.
The Amaroo Solar Project is an example of how businesses and community organisations can generate extra income by leasing dormant space for renewable energy installations.
Highlights:
- Largest rooftop photovoltaic solar project in the ACT
- Generates enough electricity to power about 175 Canberra homes each year
- Provides AUD$30,000 per year to Amaroo School for roof lease
